Fouzi Lekjaa, the Deputy Minister in charge of the Budget, presented a detailed proposal to His Majesty the King regarding the formation of an expanded committee. This committee will include representatives from Moroccan civil society, Moroccans living abroad, and African experts, to accelerate the implementation of strategic projects related to hosting the 2030 World Cup.These projects encompass eight main areas:
- Upgrading and modernizing stadiums to meet international standards
- Expanding and renovating airports in the six host cities
- Enhancing road infrastructure and developing intra-city transport networks
- Launching an integrated territorial development program extending beyond the host cities
- Developing hotel and commercial infrastructure
- Modernizing and strengthening the healthcare system
- Developing and upgrading communication networks
- Launching a comprehensive training program to enhance youth skills
This comprehensive initiative aims to ensure successful organization of the 2030 World Cup and achieve sustainable development that extends beyond the sporting event to include various vital sectors in the kingdom.
