The House of Councillors to Hold Sessions for Discussing the 2025 Finance Bill

The House of Councillors will hold plenary sessions on Wednesday and Thursday dedicated to examining and voting on Finance Bill No. 60.24 for the 2025 budgetary year.

The first plenary session will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM, during which the report from the Finance, Planning, and Economic Development Committee will be presented. This session will also include a general discussion among parliamentary groups and non-affiliated members of the House, according to a statement from the House of Councillors.

The second plenary session will be held on the same day at 3 PM, focusing on continuing discussions and presenting the government’s response to the points raised.

On Thursday, the House of Councillors will hold two additional plenary sessions. The first session will start at 10:30 AM and will be dedicated to voting on the first part of the finance bill, examining the second part of the bill by the Finance Committee, and voting on sectoral budget projects before the permanent committees.

The second session, scheduled for 3:30 PM, will focus on discussing sectoral budget projects, presenting the government’s response, voting on the second part of the bill, and then voting on the finance bill as a whole.
