The Moroccan capital, Rabat, is preparing to host the second edition of the “International Conference on Green Hydrogen,” organized by Mohammed V University and the International University of Rabat, taking place from December 4 to 6, 2024.
Under the theme “Towards a Green Hydrogen Ecosystem,” the event aims to highlight innovations and cutting-edge technologies in green hydrogen production, a vital source of sustainable energy considered the future of clean energy worldwide.
The conference will bring together a group of experts and specialists from the energy and renewable sectors, along with influential figures from around the globe. The event reflects Morocco’s ambitious goals to develop and strengthen its capabilities in renewable energy, contributing to addressing global environmental and climate challenges. Green hydrogen is viewed as one of the key solutions that can provide clean and secure energy through the use of renewable natural resources.
During the conference, the latest advancements in green hydrogen production and storage technologies will be showcased, including solid-state hydrogen storage and green ammonia production. Specialists and stakeholders will have the opportunity to engage in discussions on how to integrate these technologies into industrial, agricultural, and other applications at both the national and international levels.
The conference will also coincide with the launch of the International Green Hydrogen Award, which will honor prominent figures in the field, both nationally and internationally.
This initiative is designed to strengthen Morocco’s leadership in renewable energy and foster future innovations, as well as to highlight the role of African youth in addressing climate challenges through innovation and sustainability.
