Moroccan Women’s National Team Defeats Botswana in Friendly Match Ahead of Africa Cup of Nations

The Moroccan women’s national football team secured an important 3-1 victory over Botswana in a friendly match played on Thursday at the Saniat R’mel Stadium in Tetouan. This match was part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2024, set to take place next summer in Morocco.

The goals for the Atlas Lionesses were scored by Ibtissam Jraidi (6th and 45+1 minute) and Sarah Kassi (40th minute).

As part of its preparations for the continental tournament, the Moroccan women’s national team will play another friendly match against Mali on December 3 at the Saniat R’mel Stadium in Tetouan.

In the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco will be in Group A alongside the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Senegal, and Zambia.
