The Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Ryad Mezzour, highlighted ambitious aspirations for the future of the national industry, pointing to projected investments exceeding 300 billion dirhams in the chemical industries sector over the next four years. He also revealed a target of achieving additional exports worth $25 billion within the battery value chain by 2032.
Mr. Mezzour made these statements during his participation in the 20th edition of the Responsible Care workshop, which focused on circular economy and water efficiency. The minister emphasized the importance of adopting national and international sustainability standards, noting their essential role in fostering economic growth and sustainable prosperity.
He explained that these directions serve as a strategic driver to stimulate investment and innovation, with a focus on balancing economic development needs and preserving natural resources. Mr. Mezzour affirmed that Morocco is confidently advancing toward establishing itself as a leading destination for sustainable industry at both regional and international levels.
