Two Arrested in Salé for Drug Trafficking in Coordinated Security Operation

On the evening of Saturday, November 23, police officers from the Salé Regional Security Directorate arrested two individuals, aged 31 and 45, on charges of possessing and trafficking drugs and psychotropic substances. The operation was carried out thanks to precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

The operation began with the arrest of the first suspect, a woman, at the Rabat bus station upon her arrival on a bus from northern Morocco. She was found in possession of 3,196 pills, including “Rivotril” and “Ecstasy” tablets. The investigation continued with the arrest of the second suspect in the Oulad Moussa area of Salé, who is suspected of being the mastermind behind the distribution of this shipment.

The suspects have been placed in custody under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s office, while investigations continue to uncover the network’s possible connections and apprehend other involved individuals. This operation highlights the effective coordination between security agencies in tackling criminal activities and their commitment to protecting society from the dangers associated with drug and psychotropic substance trafficking.
