Royal Army Loses Women’s African Champions League Final to Congolese Mazembe

The Royal Army women’s football team from Morocco lost the 2024 Women’s African Champions League final to their Congolese counterpart, TP Mazembe, with a score of 0-1 in a match held on Saturday at the Al-Abdi Stadium.

The only goal of the match came from a penalty executed by striker Marline Kasaj in the 10th minute of the first half, securing the continental title for her team.

Despite the Royal Army team’s repeated attempts to maintain their title and score, they struggled with offensive effectiveness in front of the goal, especially in the second half of the match.

The Moroccan team aimed to make history and retain the title, but the strength and outstanding performance of the Congolese team prevented them from achieving this goal, leaving the Rabat team to settle for second place in the continental championship.
