The Moroccan National Professional Football League announced on Thursday, November 21, 2024, the implementation of the “Stadium Card,” a new official and exclusive document that grants access to football stadiums across Morocco. This card aims to regulate the media coverage of national matches, ensuring proper professional conditions for journalists and sports photographers.
According to the statement issued by the league, the “Stadium Card” is the result of a partnership with the National Association of Journalists and Publishers. The card will be issued through a dedicated digital platform for registering journalists and photographers, who must be accredited by their media organizations in accordance with clear legal standards. Each media institution will be allowed one journalist and one photographer.
The league emphasized that this card will be the only authorized means of entering stadiums, ending the use of previous traditional methods.
This step is seen as a significant move toward improving media coverage and enhancing organizational standards within the sports sector, aiming to elevate the quality of journalistic work and meet the expectations of both the industry and the public.
