In a powerful and moving parliamentary speech, Rim Chabat highlighted the pressing need to rectify Morocco’s current challenges, shedding light on the issues affecting citizens under the current government.
Chabat began by expressing pride in the pivotal role played by Moroccan diplomats in defending the country’s territorial integrity. She also praised the reforms and triumphs achieved by King Mohammed VI during his 25 years of reign, noting that these accomplishments have laid a strong foundation for Morocco’s political and economic stability.
However, despite these successes, Chabat voiced her discontent with certain governmental policies that have negatively impacted significant segments of Moroccan society. In a resolute statement, she condemned the international community’s silence on the violations faced by Palestinians in Gaza, emphasizing that this silence starkly contradicts the humanitarian principles enshrined in international law.
