Rabat – The General Directorate of National Security organized its annual ceremony to honor outstanding students from among its members’ children on Monday evening at the Mohammed V Theater in Rabat, under the supervision of Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territory Surveillance.
The ceremony, which was held on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Independence Day, honored outstanding students from among the children and orphans of national security personnel, where valuable scholarships were presented to those who excelled in the baccalaureate examinations.
The scholarships included 50,000 dirhams distributed over five years, benefiting 12 male and female students. Additionally, exceptional financial support ranging between 4,000 and 5,000 dirhams was provided to 109 academically outstanding students.
In an initiative to expand higher education horizons, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works of National Security Personnel signed partnership agreements with several academic institutions, including full scholarships for national security orphans and discounts of up to 50% on tuition fees at private institutes.
The ceremony also included honoring those who excelled in sports and arts, with winners being crowned in the plastic arts creativity competition and the national indoor football championship.
The Foundation announced its intention to double both the number of beneficiaries and the value of grants next year, and is working on preparing a comprehensive creative registry for police officers who excel in various fields.
It is worth noting that these initiatives come within the framework of a comprehensive strategy to support social work and promote excellence within the national security family.
