In a significant operation carried out by the Regional Judicial Police Division of Beni Mellal, in close coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), authorities dismantled a criminal network suspected of involvement in forgery and the use of counterfeit documents and vehicles on Friday, November 15th.
The operation led to the arrest of nine individuals aged between 29 and 54, including four with prior criminal records.
Simultaneous security interventions across multiple locations in Beni Mellal resulted in the seizure of nine vehicles of various types and a motorcycle currently undergoing technical examination to verify its legality. Authorities also confiscated mobile phones and sums of money believed to be proceeds from the network’s illicit activities.
Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the detainees was the subject of a national search warrant issued by the judicial police in Beni Mellal.
The suspects are now under judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine their specific roles and uncover details of the criminal activity. Authorities are also pursuing additional suspects potentially linked to the network.
This operation underscores the vigilance of law enforcement agencies and their commitment to combating forgery crimes that threaten public security and property.
