In a decisive move that reflects its commitment to transparency and integrity in managing public contracts, the Independent Communal Agency for Water and Electricity Distribution in Fes (La RADEEF) announced the cancellation of a significant public contract with Arjim Developmont.
The company was responsible for excavation works and the supply and installation of drinking water pipes in the region of Sefrou.
This decision came after a clear conflict of interest was discovered. It was revealed that Mr. Rashid Ahmed Al-Sharif, the manager of Arjim Developmont, also holds a position on LaRADEEF’s Board of Directors and serves as a member of the audit committee.
This situation is in direct violation of the law, which prohibits members of administrative boards from benefiting materially or morally from public contracts related to the agency.
This decision is seen as a positive step that will enhance public trust in institutions and demonstrates that Laradif is committed to adhering to the law and combating any form of manipulation, positioning it as a model of transparency and good governance.
