As part of Fes News’ ongoing coverage of the “contaminated Khali” case, a confidential source revealed that the extensive security operation led by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), in coordination with the regional judicial police, covered all stages of the production and distribution of the tainted “Khali.”
The operation did not only target distribution points but also traced the entire production chain, from the selection of animals and the illegal slaughter process to the stages of production and marketing.
According to the source, these actions were carried out in complete secrecy without notifying any local authorities, ensuring the success of the operation and the arrest of all involved parties. The campaign targeted multiple locations in the districts of Jnan El Ward, Fes City, and the Merinids, where illegal facilities involved in the preparation and distribution of these tainted products were discovered.
These products were intended for the local market, including restaurants and fast-food outlets.
This massive operation highlights the significant challenge faced by security forces in dismantling an organized criminal network and protecting citizens from the dangers posed by these products. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities working to identify further individuals involved in this dangerous scheme.
