The leadership committee of the parliamentary majority groups at the Moroccan House of Representatives held a meeting on Monday, November 11, 2024, to discuss several legislative issues and important national developments.
The meeting addressed four main topics:
First: The committee discussed the Finance Bill for the fiscal year 2025, praising the active participation of the Finance and Economic Development Committee members in discussing sectoral budgets, and commending the efforts made during extended working sessions.
Second: The meeting addressed the organizational law regarding the right to strike, where the committee emphasized the importance of this project and praised the government’s courage in presenting it. The committee decided to organize a study day on the subject, noting that November 26, 2024, has been set as the deadline for submitting amendments.
Third: The committee examined the issue of lawyers’ strikes, calling for prioritizing responsible dialogue to reach solutions satisfactory to all parties.
Fourth: The committee valued the recent agreement regarding the return of medical and pharmacy students to resume their studies and hospital internships, praising the mediation role played by the Mediator Institution and the government’s responsibility in definitively resolving this file.
