Popular Movement Party Condemns Algerian Television’s Hostility: A Green March That Makes the Moroccan Nation Proud (video)

The General Secretariat of the Popular Movement Party strongly condemned the broadcast by the Algerian state television, describing it as a “news report” filled with animosity and hatred against Moroccans who participated in the Green March, a historical epic for the restoration of Morocco’s territorial unity. The Secretariat stated that this report contained derogatory descriptions and insults directed at these heroes, who contributed to the peaceful and civilized liberation of occupied territories.

In an official statement, the party expressed its strong condemnation of this hostile attack on Moroccan citizens, who have left a proud mark in their country’s history through their voluntary participation in completing territorial unity. The Secretariat considered that what was aired by Algerian television represents a “crime against humanity” and a deviation from human and professional values.

The General Secretariat also called on international media institutions to adhere to the code of ethics in journalism, warning of the dangers posed by this deviation fueled by a state channel that sows hatred and targets individuals’ dignity.

Furthermore, the General Secretariat emphasized its rejection of being drawn into responding to these unacceptable statements, underscoring the Moroccan people’s commitment—both leadership and citizens—to respect historical and friendly relations with their eastern neighbor, which are founded on brotherhood and belief in good neighborliness.

The party clarified that such actions would not affect the resilience of the Moroccan people or their unwavering will to defend their sovereignty and territorial integrity, pointing out the increasing international support for Morocco, which underscores its legitimate rights.
