This morning, the vehicle of the local leader of Lbiar in the Klemim region came under attack by a group of approximately seventy irregular African migrants. The assailants, armed with knives, targeted the vehicle and set it on fire, while the leader and his companions miraculously escaped the assault.
This serious incident prompted Moroccan authorities to respond swiftly, as security teams rushed to the scene upon receiving the report. The operation resulted in the arrest of six migrants suspected of direct involvement in the attack.
Authorities also managed to seize a range of tools and equipment used in irregular migration operations, including four-wheel-drive vehicles and maritime navigation devices, along with quantities of food supplies and logistical equipment utilized by human smuggling gangs to support their illegal activities along the Klemim coast.
Local sources confirmed that the incident occurred in the “Oruyra” area on the white beach, where a four-wheel-drive vehicle of the type “Toyota Hilux” bearing registration plate “M Rouge” was set ablaze.
