King Mohammed VI to Deliver Speech on the 49th Anniversary of the Green March

The Ministry of Royal Palaces, Honors, and Decorations has announced that His Majesty King Mohammed VI will deliver a royal speech this evening, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March.

This speech will be part of the Kingdom’s celebrations of a historic event that marked a turning point in the peaceful recovery of the southern provinces, a movement that amazed the world.

In a statement, the ministry said: “On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the glorious Green March, His Majesty King Mohammed VI will address his loyal people in a royal speech.” The statement further confirmed that the speech will be broadcast on national radio and television channels starting at 8:30 PM.

The Moroccan people are eagerly awaiting this speech, as it is a yearly occasion to express their pride in territorial unity and to reaffirm their commitment to the values of the Green March, which was initiated by the late King Hassan II, may God rest his soul, as a peaceful means of reclaiming the land and affirming national identity.
