Casablanca – November 6, 2024 – Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mr. Amine Tehraoui, presided today over the inauguration of a new dialysis center in the Anfa district of Casablanca, accompanied by several local officials.
This project, with a cost of 20.7 million dirhams, comes as part of implementing the royal directives for healthcare sector reform and universal social protection, responding to the city’s growing demographic needs and increasing demand for healthcare services.
The new center spans 399 square meters and consists of five floors equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment. It is expected to serve more than 300 patients, featuring three dialysis rooms, a water treatment facility, a pharmacy, a medical consultation room, and a training and research center for kidney transplantation.
The project was realized through a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the National Initiative for Human Development, the Casablanca Prefecture Council, and the Amal Foundation for Supporting Kidney Disease Patients.
The center aims to bring healthcare services closer to citizens and reduce pressure on other facilities in the city. It aligns with the Ministry of Health’s policy to eliminate waiting lists for kidney failure patients across the kingdom.
A specialized medical and nursing team will oversee the center to ensure the delivery of high-quality services in accordance with established healthcare standards.
The facility represents a significant addition to Casablanca’s healthcare infrastructure and demonstrates the government’s commitment to improving medical services for patients with kidney disease.
