Al-Samra City Hosts Landmark Ceremony Granting New Housing Certificates to 4,000 Families

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the city of Al-Samra hosted a significant event where 4,000 families, previously residing in informal settlements in the Rbib and Kweiz areas, received certificates for their new homes. This marked the first phase of a comprehensive resettlement program aimed at rehousing residents from slum areas.

A substantial budget of 530 million dirhams has been allocated to this ambitious project, aimed at relocating families into modern housing that meets adequate living standards and fosters social stability.

This initiative reflects the Moroccan authorities’ commitment to improving the living conditions of affected families by ensuring a safe and healthy environment. It is part of a broader effort to reduce inadequate housing and offer citizens opportunities for a dignified life.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for this transformative moment, describing it as a life-changing day with a positive impact on their future and that of their children.

This program represents not only a transitional phase for the families but is also part of a larger vision for sustainable development.

Morocco’s resettlement projects embody continuous efforts to support vulnerable groups, facilitating their integration into a society that provides a dignified life and modern facilities aligned with the population’s aspirations for a better future.
