On Thursday, October 31, 2024, a committee from the National Immunization Program, part of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection’s Population Directorate, conducted an inspection visit to the regional health delegation in Taza to assess the progress of the ongoing vaccination campaign for children under 18.
This national campaign, launched by the ministry and scheduled to run for three weeks from October 28 to November 17, 2024, is part of a strategy to strengthen children’s health protection against infectious, vaccine-preventable diseases.
The committee began with a preliminary meeting attended by local health officials, including the Ministry’s delegate in Taza, the Regional Health and Social Protection Director’s Child Health Program Manager for Fes-Meknes, the Head of the Health Network Services in Taza, and school health and child health program officers from the delegation.
The meeting focused on the operational plan of the campaign and challenges in tracking and updating children’s vaccination records.
Following the meeting, the committee visited Al-Kindi Middle School, where they oversaw record reviews for children’s vaccinations and engaged with school staff about parental support for the campaign. Emphasis was placed on the vital role of collective participation in ensuring the success of this health initiative to complete children’s vaccinations and boost their immunity against serious diseases.
The committee then proceeded to the Beit Ghulam Urban Health Center to support the center’s team and address their inquiries. The health center staff showed strong commitment to ensuring the success of the national campaign.
This inspection reflects the Ministry of Health and Social Protection’s dedication to children’s safety and preventive care, underlining the ministry’s commitment to advancing immunization programs for comprehensive health protection for future generations.
