In celebration of the anniversary of the Royal Speech in Agadir, the Think Tank and Research Center, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, will hold the second edition of the National Atlas Cedar Forum on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Azrou.
This event aims to enhance the multi-faceted national identity and raise cultural awareness about the importance of the Amazigh language. It will evaluate the progress made in promoting cultural and linguistic rights for the Amazigh community and envision the future to ensure its place within the national identity.
This initiative reflects Morocco’s commitment to addressing global digital transformations and the challenges of preserving national cultural and linguistic heritage.
During the forum, extensive discussions will focus on integrating the Amazigh language into vital sectors such as media, judiciary, and education, which are essential for enhancing its presence in public life. Participants will explore ways to develop legal and administrative frameworks that support the use of the Amazigh language, facilitating its interaction with modern digital communities.
The forum represents an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and interaction among various stakeholders, showcasing Morocco’s dedication to the principles outlined in the Agadir Speech, which called for the enhancement of cultural identity and the promotion of diversity values.
By focusing on balancing the preservation of national identity with openness to the digital age, the forum seeks to identify innovative ways to achieve true equality across all aspects of life.
Thus, this event is a significant step towards realizing the aspirations of the Amazigh community and establishing new foundations that strengthen its role in various fields of life, aligning with the demands and challenges of the modern era.
