In the context of strengthening French-Moroccan relations, President Emmanuel Macron delivered an important speech from within the Parliament, emphasizing his country’s commitment to Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.
Macron began his address by highlighting the need to write a “new chapter” in the relationship between the two countries, affirming that this new narrative holds promising prospects for the future of the African continent.
He noted that Morocco and France have been loyal allies over the decades, especially during challenging times, stating that France has never abandoned Morocco on any critical issues it faced, particularly regarding the Western Sahara dispute.
