Multidisciplinary Medical Caravan Serves 100 Elderly People in Dakhla

A multidisciplinary medical campaign was organized on Friday in Dakhla, benefiting approximately 100 elderly individuals, as part of an initiative aimed at providing free medical consultations and specialized examinations.

This solidarity initiative was organized by the coordinators of the national and international sport fishing competition, currently ongoing in Dakhla until November 2, in cooperation with the Taiba Association for Social Works in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab. The initiative aims to bring specialized medical services closer to citizens, particularly the elderly.

In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency (MAP), Othman Aamar, President of the Provincial Tourism Council in Oued Eddahab, explained that this medical caravan, organized on the sidelines of the national and international sport fishing competition, mobilized numerous medical professionals to provide health services to about 100 elderly people across various specialties.

For her part, Mahjouba El Idrissi, member of the Taiba Association for Social Works in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, indicated that this initiative aims to promote values of cooperation and solidarity towards this social category that needs continuous access to medical treatments and services.

El Idrissi added that this solidarity action is organized on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, celebrated on October 1st of each year.

During this event, many beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the various stakeholders who contributed to the success of this initiative aimed at bringing health services closer to the elderly and supporting this vulnerable social category.
