TAZA – The Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Taza province is organizing an awareness day for early detection of breast and cervical cancer at the Zararda Level Two Rural Health Center on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
This initiative comes as part of “Pink October” activities and the national campaign for early detection of breast and cervical cancer launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which runs from October 1 to 31, 2024, under the slogan “Your checkup now brings safety and reassurance… don’t hesitate.”
The program, organized in partnership with Awaser Association for Development and Environment and under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region, and in coordination with local authorities, includes maternal and child health care services, in addition to raising awareness about the importance of early cancer detection.
This initiative aims to raise awareness among women about the importance of early detection of breast and cervical cancer and encourage them to undergo necessary periodic examinations, which contributes to improving treatment and recovery opportunities if the disease is discovered in its early stages.
