On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the Regional Health and Social Protection Delegation of El Hajeb, in coordination with the Regional Directorate and local authorities, organized a health campaign in the Ait Harzallah commune.
The campaign focused on the early detection of breast cancer and cervical cancer, along with screening for HIV/AIDS, reaching a total of 75 beneficiaries.
The initiative yielded the following results:
- 70 women benefited from early breast cancer screenings.
- 50 women underwent cervical cancer screenings.
- 71 HIV tests were conducted.
The campaign also included awareness sessions aimed at educating women about the importance of early detection.
This initiative is part of a national effort led by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection under the theme “Your screening now, safety and stability—don’t hesitate.” It aims to raise awareness among women aged 40 to 69 for breast cancer and those aged 30 to 49 for cervical cancer.
