On Monday, October 7, 2024, the National Justice Sector Union, affiliated with the National Union of Labor in Morocco, held a dialogue session with the Minister of Justice to continue the sectoral discussions on various important issues.
The session was attended by the Minister of Justice, along with the Secretary-General of the ministry, the Director of the Social Welfare Institution for Judges and Justice Employees, and several other ministry officials.
During the meeting, a range of urgent issues concerning employees in the sector were discussed. The session included a presentation of the demands of justice employees, submitted by representatives of the National Justice Sector Union, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to addressing these demands as soon as possible.
The discussion focused on the “Court Registry” file, where the Minister of Justice emphasized his significant interest in this area, confirming his determination to improve the professional and social conditions of workers in this vital sector.
Additionally, the meeting shed light on the amendment of the regulatory framework for the Court Registry, with the ministry working to enhance the role of this body and give it a central position in the judicial process.
The readiness of the ministry to restructure regional directorates according to a new distribution that meets the sector’s needs was also addressed.
The union reaffirmed its commitment to continue defending the rights of engineers and employees in the sector, stressing the importance of coordinating with the ministry to overcome obstacles.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the necessity for ongoing dialogue between the ministry and the National Justice Sector Union to ensure the development of the sector and improvement of working conditions, ultimately achieving social justice and enhancing the services provided.
