According to the latest report from the Directorate, based on statistics from the National Airports Office, air traffic in Morocco has experienced a notable increase.
International air transport rose by 17.7%, while domestic transport recorded an increase of 26.8%.
By geographic region, air traffic continued to thrive until the end of August 2024, with a recorded increase of 18.7% in flights to Europe, 17.4% to Africa, 11.9% to the Middle East and the Far East, 9.9% to North America, and 8.3% to Maghreb countries.
Air cargo also showed progress, increasing by 22.3%, while airport traffic rose by 15.1% during the same period. These figures reflect the ongoing recovery in Morocco’s air transport sector, contributing to the enhancement of tourism and international trade.
