The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Morocco celebrated the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, with notable attendance from the Yemeni community in Morocco, including students and researchers studying at Moroccan universities.
In his speech during the event, Ambassador Azzedin Al-Asbahi extended warm congratulations to the Yemeni political leadership, represented by Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council, and to all Yemeni people both within the country and abroad, especially the Yemeni community in Morocco.
The ambassador described this occasion as a “historic and pivotal day in the life of the Yemeni people,” noting that the September 26 Revolution laid the foundation for the establishment of the Yemeni Republic and enshrined the principles of justice and equality, eliminating class discrimination and social injustice.
Al-Asbahi emphasized the significance of the September Revolution in liberating the Yemeni people from the shackles of tyranny and ignorance, urging the necessity to defend its achievements now more than ever to ensure the restoration of national dignity and the realization of stability and development.
He also highlighted the importance of reinstating the values of education, knowledge, and openness, viewing them as essential for keeping pace with global developments and securing a bright future for Yemen.
At the conclusion of the event, Azzedin Al-Asbahi, accompanied by members of the diplomatic mission and the cultural attaché in Rabat, honored 38 Yemeni researchers who obtained their doctoral degrees from Moroccan universities.
This gesture reflects appreciation for their significant role in enhancing the pursuit of knowledge and science.
