The national security services in the city of Shefchaouen have responded firmly to a video that was posted on social media platforms at the beginning of this current month of September. The video showed a person using violence to force a woman to board a taxi in one of the streets of the city.
The investigations carried out by the police after the video was published revealed that the victim had not filed any complaint regarding the incident. The security services were able to identify the victim, who was found to have a previous relationship with the suspect. Based on this, both the suspect and the taxi driver were arrested and subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor.
The two suspects are still being held in custody under judicial supervision to complete the investigations and uncover all the circumstances and background of this case, before they are referred to justice yesterday, Monday, September 23rd.
