During a press conference following the government council meeting, Mustafa Baitas, Minister Delegate in charge of relations with Parliament and the official government spokesperson, emphasized that the tourism sector is one of the main drivers of Morocco’s economy.
He highlighted its significant contribution to stimulating the country’s economic activity and increasing revenue. Baitas pointed out that Morocco has seen a notable increase in tourist arrivals in recent years, reflecting the success of government strategies aimed at developing the tourism sector and enhancing Morocco’s appeal as a global tourist destination.
Baitas also underlined the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of tourism infrastructure and to develop air transport, which he described as a key factor in facilitating access to Morocco’s diverse tourist destinations.
The advancement of air transport has greatly boosted the competitiveness of the tourism sector, with partnerships with national and international airlines playing a crucial role in improving Morocco’s global air connectivity.
Furthermore, Baitas stressed that the positive image presented by the Moroccan national football team on the international stage has contributed to promoting Moroccan tourism. The country’s sporting achievements have helped enhance Morocco’s appeal, increasing interest in it as a preferred tourist destination.
