Fes-Meknes Football League Faces Uprising: 92 Clubs Demand Accountability

In a significant development, 92 clubs affiliated with the Fes-Meknes Regional Football League have officially sent a notice to the league’s president through a judicial officer, demanding the convening of general assemblies that have not been held since the president took office in the 2020-2021 season.

The delay in holding these assemblies is a clear violation of the governing laws, which require an annual general meeting before the start of each season—a process that has been skipped for four consecutive seasons.

The clubs have expressed their intent to escalate the situation, insisting on a judicial investigation into the league’s financial management since the current president assumed office.

These developments coincide with Morocco’s preparations to host two major sporting events, adding pressure on the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, to intervene swiftly and take decisive action before the crisis worsens.
