Advancing Comprehensive Development: Morocco’s National Census Progress and Educational Improvements

In line with Morocco’s commitment to comprehensive development, significant progress has been made in implementing the national census, as directed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This initiative aims to provide accurate and comprehensive data to guide national policies and improve various sectors, particularly education.

The census process has seen extensive involvement from educational and administrative staff, with around 50,000 participants, representing 30% of the specialized census workforce.

Field teams, formed in collaboration with the High Commission for Statistics, have been equipped with the latest tablets funded through agreements with the Ministry of Education. These devices will not only aid in the census but also support the educational process and future capacity building.

In the educational sector, 177,000 teachers have been distributed across regions to ensure appropriate schooling hours for students, enhancing educational quality.

Additionally, collaboration with private schools has introduced Amazigh language instruction into curricula, a key step towards strengthening Morocco’s cultural identity. This initiative will be evaluated later to ensure its alignment with school and student needs.

Educational quality has improved in many areas, especially in classrooms with over 40 students. Continuous efforts in regions like Tangier and Casablanca focus on enhancing educational conditions by providing additional resources and improving school environments.

Monitoring the progress of the census through social media channels is crucial for transparency and keeping track of efforts to improve educational conditions and statistical data.

This process reflects the kingdom’s dedication to enhancing all aspects of life through the collection and analysis of precise data, contributing to sustainable and comprehensive development.
