In a significant move towards enhancing its technological capabilities, the General Directorate of National Security announced the signing of new major contracts at the beginning of this week. These deals aim to renew the Directorate’s IT equipment at both central and regional levels, with a total value exceeding 90 million dirhams.
Informed sources reported that the contract, divided into five lots, will enable the Moroccan police to provide modern equipment including laptops, printers, and scanners for its various services. Notably, the largest deal, valued at 25.2 million dirhams, has been allocated for the acquisition of laptops for central services in the capital, Rabat.
The Directorate has paid special attention to updating identity data registration centers, primarily responsible for issuing national identity cards and biometric measurement records. The five contracts were awarded to two Rabat-based companies: “Ideal Service System” and “Equipment and Services for the Future Company”.
This modernization comes as part of the ongoing efforts by the General Directorate of National Security to develop its services and improve its infrastructure since Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi assumed the position of Director General. These steps aim to elevate the level of security performance and enhance the capabilities of human resources in the Moroccan police force.
These significant investments in technology underscore the Directorate’s commitment to keeping pace with global developments in the field of security and improving its ability to efficiently address contemporary security challenges.
