Launch of the New Training Year with Fresh Centers

The 2024-2025 training year marks a significant milestone for the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion, with the announcement of three new specialized vocational training institutions in health and social work professions. This initiative aligns with the Office’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its training offerings, meeting market demands, and improving young people’s access to quality education.

Expansion of Training Institutions

As part of this expansion, 17 new training institutions were inaugurated during the 2024-2025 academic year. Among them, three are dedicated to health and social work professions located in Meknes, Beni Mellal, and Oujda. This strategic move aims to reinforce the Office’s training network within the health sector.

Capacity and Guidance Centers

This training year will accommodate 414,800 trainees, with 275,000 of them starting their first year on September 6, 2024. Additionally, 11 new vocational guidance centers have been launched, bringing the total number to 53 nationwide. These centers are designed to offer better support to candidates, trainees, and graduates by providing essential information and guidance.

Diverse Training in Health Professions

The newly established institutes will offer diverse training programs in 15 specialties across three levels: Specialized Technician, Technician, and Qualification. These include courses in Healthcare Assistance, Diagnostic Radiology, Medical Analysis, Nursing Assistance, as well as Sterilization and Patient Transfer. Moreover, the institutes in Meknes and Beni Mellal will offer a specialized program in Dental Assistance.

Advanced Infrastructure and Modern Techniques

The new institutes boast state-of-the-art infrastructure, including specialized classrooms, rooms dedicated to developing self-competencies, and enhancing language, entrepreneurial, behavioral, and digital skills. Additionally, simulation centers are available to provide dynamic learning experiences for trainees.

Entrepreneurial Innovation Program

The Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion continues to expand its Entrepreneurial Innovation program, first launched in 2021. This program is designed to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among young trainees and graduates, equipping them with essential skills in entrepreneurship.

Guidance and Professional Integration

To facilitate better integration of young trainees, vocational guidance centers will be connected to shared structures such as co-working spaces, multimedia libraries, and incubators. The My Way online platform will continue to play a pivotal role in offering appropriate guidance to young people and assisting them in navigating their professional paths successfully.

Public-Private Partnership and Project Financing

The creation of these specialized health and social work institutes in Meknes, Beni Mellal, and Oujda is part of a public-private partnership spearheaded by the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency, under the “Second Compact” cooperation program between Morocco and the United States. The Meknes institute received a budget of 82.7 million dirhams, Beni Mellal 69.89 million dirhams, and Oujda 81.82 million dirhams.

The New Pedagogical Model

As part of the roadmap project for vocational training development, the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion will continue its efforts to support its institutions in achieving alignment with the new pedagogical model and excellence standards. For the 2024-2025 training year, 40 institutions will be supported under the Operational Excellence program.

Conclusion

The opening of these new institutions represents a significant step forward for the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion, as it strengthens its training offerings and charts a promising path for young Moroccans. With a focus on operational excellence and the development of entrepreneurial skills, these measures aim to meet the evolving needs of the labor market and ensure the successful integration of trainees into the professional world.
