In a new development enhancing international cooperation in the fight against terrorism, the Islamic Coalition Against Terrorism has announced the joining of a new representative from the Kingdom of Morocco to its ranks. Colonel Hassan Dakash has been appointed to this position and has officially commenced his duties at the Coalition’s headquarters.
Colonel Dakash will work alongside representatives from other member states to support the Coalition’s initiatives and efforts in the field of counter-terrorism. This appointment comes as an important step reflecting Morocco’s ongoing commitment to international efforts in confronting terrorist threats.
In a statement on this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Coalition praised Morocco’s efforts in combating terrorism, saying: “The Kingdom of Morocco spares no effort in its war against terrorism and in cutting off its roots.” He added that the tangible results achieved by Morocco in this field have gained praise from the international community, considering it a model to be emulated in the comprehensive and multidimensional approach to confronting the global terrorist threat.
The Secretary-General also pointed to Morocco’s active participation in international alliances, its efforts in establishing specialized training centers, as well as developing a comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism. These steps confirm the pioneering role that the Kingdom of Morocco plays in the field of counter-terrorism at both regional and international levels.
It is expected that Colonel Dakash’s joining the Islamic Coalition Against Terrorism will contribute to enhancing coordination and exchanging expertise among member states, thus helping to achieve the Coalition’s shared goals in combating terrorism and promoting security and stability in the region and the world.
