On Monday, the Governor of Settat Province, Ibrahim Bouzid, oversaw the inauguration ceremony for newly appointed authority officials in the province, held at the Wilaya headquarters. These appointments are part of a broader movement initiated by the Ministry of Interior, following royal directives that emphasize the importance of serving citizens with principles of equality and fairness across the national territory and ensuring the continuous delivery of public services.
During the ceremony, the following officials were appointed:
Hicham Boumhraz, appointed as the Pasha of Settat City, previously serving in Laayoune.
Nasser Aknouz, appointed as the Pasha of Oulad M’rah, coming from the Saïs district in Fes Province.
Abdelkarim Gourich, who assumed the position of Head of the Southern Settat Circle, having transferred from Ain Cheggag in Moulay Yacoub Province.
Additional appointments included:
Noureddine El Baqouki, appointed as the head of an urban area in Settat Province, previously serving in the Hivernage district of Marrakech.
Mustapha Yahya, appointed as the leader of an administrative unit in Settat Province, coming from Fes.
Bouchaib Shamshoun, appointed as the leader of an administrative unit in Settat Province, previously serving in the Pashalik of Errachidia.
Further appointments were also announced:
Marouane Hakimi, appointed as the leader of Beni Meskin Sharqia, transferred from the Pashalik of Assa-Zag.
Othmane Baba, appointed as the leader of Oulad Fares, a graduate of the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration.
Mohamed Zine El Abidine, appointed as the leader of Oulad Sghir, also a graduate of the Royal Institute of Territorial Administration.
The ceremony concluded with an academic seminar at the Settat Cultural Complex, commemorating the 71st anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution, under the title “The Commander of the Faithful in Morocco: History and Functions,” led by Dr. Karim El Jilali, President of the Settat Scientific Council.
