The players of the Moroccan Olympic team received their bronze medals yesterday, Friday, marking the first medal in the history of Moroccan football’s participation in the Olympic Games.
The medal ceremony, held at the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris, witnessed a large turnout of fans, including Moroccan supporters, who gathered to watch the tribute to the three teams that stood on the podium. The Spanish team was awarded the gold medal, while the French team took home the silver medal, and the Moroccan team secured the bronze medal.
Led by Munir Mohamedi, the national team players, including captain Achraf Hakimi and all members of the Olympic team who contributed to this historic achievement by reaching the podium for the first time, received a warm welcome from the crowd as they collected their medals, creating an atmosphere of pride and honor in the stadium.
Television and radio stations covering the event praised the strength displayed by the Moroccan team on the international stage, reflecting the development of national football.
Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, presented the gold medals to the Spanish team, followed by the silver medals to the French team.
