As part of the celebrations of the Moulay Idriss the Great season, a mission from the Royal Guard supervised on Thursday the distribution of royal donations in Moulay Idriss Zerhoun and Meknes.
The donations included the Adarsa honorable, needy families and people with special needs, in a move that reflects the Moroccan monarch’s interest in caring for the most vulnerable groups.
The committee in charge of distributing the aid was headed by Mohamed Saad Eddine Smeij, who handed out financial aid, wheelchairs and eyeglasses to children orphaned or belonging to destitute families, as well as wallets and clothes to orphans.
319 people in Meknes and 737 in Moulay Idriss Zerhoun benefited from these royal donations, which aim to help needy families and sick people cope with the cost of living.
The events, which were held in a solemn atmosphere of reverence and devotion, witnessed the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the singing of prophetic songs, where prayers were raised to God Almighty to protect the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to fix his eye on Crown Prince HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, and to strengthen the support of his brother Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the honorable royal family.
