Wydad Sporting Club announced on Sunday that they have officially signed left-back Zakaria Nasik, after he was released from his contract with Morocco Fassi.
The news was shared via the club’s official Facebook account, which posted a photo of the new player with the caption: “Zakaria Nassik is here. Welcome to this team.”
Zakaria Nassik, 27, is considered one of the best players in the Moroccan league, having previously played for several national clubs including Kawkab Marrakech, Shababab Mohammedia and Morocco Fassi.
Wydad continues its efforts to strengthen its ranks during the current transfer window, making several new signings aimed at renewing the team’s blood, including Ayman Derani, Mohamed Moufid, Mohamed Raihi and Jawad Khalouk, as well as Nabil Marmouk and Hamza Sakhi.
These steps come as part of Wydad’s strategy to compete for titles next season, and the club hopes that Zakaria Nasik will contribute to achieving its goals.
