A person died and others were injured in a horrific traffic accident that took place yesterday, Thursday, on the national road linking the cities of Meknes and Sidi Kacem, specifically in the area of the Ain Karma community.
According to local sources, the accident occurred when a car coming from the opposite direction collided with the victim’s car, which was parked on the side of the road due to a sudden malfunction.
The driver of the car died on the spot due to serious injuries, while his wife and son sustained injuries of varying severity and were taken to Mohammed V Hospital in Meknes for treatment.
Local authorities immediately moved to the scene of the accident, where the victim’s body was transferred to the mortuary, and an investigation into the circumstances of the accident was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
