Moroccan Meteorological Service Forecasts Hot Weather and Scattered Rains for Tomorrow, Friday

Rabat – The Moroccan General Directorate of Meteorology, in its weather bulletin for tomorrow, Friday, August 2, 2024, has predicted the continuation of hot weather across most of the kingdom, with the possibility of rainfall in some areas.

According to the bulletin, relatively hot to hot weather will prevail in the interior plains, Rif regions, Atlas Mountains, the eastern region, the southeast, as well as the interior parts of the southern provinces.

Scattered rainfall accompanied by thunder is expected in the eastern parts of the Middle Atlas heights, the northern High Atlas, and the eastern high plateaus. Areas near the Atlantic coast will experience low cloud formation and local fog during the night and morning hours.

The directorate warned of possible sandstorms in the south and southeast of the kingdom, with relatively strong winds expected in the southern regions, Middle Atlas, eastern region, and central coasts.

Regarding temperatures, lows will range between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius in the Chiadma, Souss, Anti-Atlas, eastern region, far southeast, and eastern parts of the southern provinces. Temperatures will range between 15 and 20 degrees in the High Atlas, and between 19 and 27 degrees in other areas.

Maximum temperatures will see a notable increase, especially in the central coastal plains and western parts of the southern provinces.

As for sea conditions, the Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar will experience slight to rough seas, while north of Casablanca will see slight to rough seas. The rest of the Atlantic coasts will have rough to very rough seas.
