As French President Emmanuel Macron announced his support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara, French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati welcomed what she described as a “historic day” for relations between France and Morocco.
In a tweet on the X platform, Dati expressed her honor to be in Morocco during this landmark day, stressing that this event strengthens bilateral relations between the two countries, adding: “This historical trajectory is necessary and irreversible, and we are all co-creators of it.”
While attending the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne, the minister praised the ambitious vision of King Mohammed VI and the President of the French Republic.
“I pay tribute to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron for their ambitious vision for our two peoples, who realize that our future from both sides of the Mediterranean can only be shared. Long live the Kingdom of Morocco and long live France!”
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the reception hosted by King Mohammed VI in Madiq on the occasion of Throne Day, Dati emphasized that the message sent by French President Emmanuel Macron reinforces Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern provinces.
