The Royal Armed Forces of Morocco inaugurated the first International Military Music Festival in Rabat on Friday, marking the 25th anniversary of the Throne Day.
This event will continue until July 30, 2024, featuring a series of concerts to be held in the main squares of Rabat, Salé, Témara, Tétouan, and M’diq.
This exceptional event will bring together seven national music ensembles from various components of the Royal Armed Forces, Royal Guard, Royal Gendarmerie, General Directorate of National Security, and Auxiliary Forces.
Military music bands from six foreign countries will also participate: Saudi Arabia, Ivory Coast, United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States of America, and Senegal, according to a statement by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
The opening ceremony took place on Friday at Al Barid Square in Rabat. It will be followed on Saturday, July 27, 2024, by simultaneous performances in Rabat at Mahaj Riad, in Salé at Bab El Mrissa, and in Témara at Harhoura Beach.
The festival will culminate on July 30, 2024, with a closing concert at El Mechouar Square in Tétouan, preceded by musical performances on July 29, 2024, at the M’diq Corniche. The military bands will present various festival shows starting at 9:00 PM.
This International Military Music Festival is the first of its kind, aiming to highlight the richness and diversity of military musical traditions from participating countries.
