The Moroccan Government Council holds a meeting to discuss the budget and important draft decrees, most notably the draft finance law for 2025-2027

The Moroccan Government Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on Wednesday, headed by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, according to a statement issued by his office.

The Council will begin its work by listening to a presentation by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the budget on the implementation of the 2024 budget, the general framework for preparing the draft finance law for the year 2025, in addition to programming the comprehensive budget for the three years 2025-2027.

Next, the Council will discuss five draft decrees:

A project related to establishing transitional measures for some judges.

A project related to the competencies and organization of the General Secretariat of Government.

A project related to training supervisors and supervisory staff in health institutions that constitute regional health groups.

A project related to joint regional committees to coordinate applied training in health professions.

A draft that supplements the annex to the decree regarding the implementation of the law regarding the direct social support system.

The Council will conclude its work by studying proposals for appointment to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

After the end of the Council’s work, the government will hold a meeting dedicated to studying some law proposals.

This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing government efforts to strengthen financial management and develop regulatory frameworks in various sectors, with a particular focus on the justice and health sectors.
