The General Directorate of Meteorology expects several regions in the Kingdom of Morocco to experience a severe heat wave in the coming days.
According to the Directorate General of Meteorology, temperatures are expected to reach between 42 and 48 degrees Celsius, starting this hot weather phenomenon next Tuesday and extending until the end of Wednesday.
According to the directorate, the regions affected by the severe heat wave include: Tata, Taroudant, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Sleiman, Qalaat El Sraghna, Marrakech, Rahamna, Beni Mellal, Taounat, Faqih Bensalah, Assa-Zak, and Smara. Temperatures in these places are expected to range between 45 and 48 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures between 42 and 46 degrees Celsius are also expected to be recorded in other provinces and regions on Monday, July 22, including Oued Eddahab, Youssoufia, Fakih Bensalah, Meknes, Rachidia, Khenifra, Khouribga, Awsard, Setat, Fez, Safro, Chichaoua, Qalaat El Sraghna, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Rahamna, Taounate, Zan, Zagora, Assa-Zak, Smara, Tata, Taroudant, Sidi Sleiman, Khemisset.
The directorate confirms that temperatures ranging between 38 and 42 degrees Celsius will be recorded in other provinces and regions from Tuesday to the end of Wednesday, in the regions of Tangier, Ouarzazate, Tiznit, Essaouira, Barsheed, Larache, Asfi, Guelmim, Sidi Bennour, Sidi Bennour, Slimane, Chtouka Ait Baha, Sidi Ifni, Chefchaouen, El Hajeb, Kenitra, Azilal, Al Hawz.
Temperatures are also expected to be between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius in other areas such as Inezgane, Ait Melloul, Meknes, Fez, Khouribga, Khemisset, Youssoufia, Rachidia, Settat, Chichaoua, Khanifra, Sefrou, Taza, Zan, Awsard, Oued Dahab, Agadir and Ida Outnan.
