Based on royal instructions, Morocco participated in the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), one of the world’s largest air shows, held from July 19 to 21 at RAF Fairford in western England.
The Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF) took part in this event with two F-16 aircraft (F-16C and F-16D) for static display, as part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of this aircraft type.
A C-130H aircraft from the RMAF provided logistical support for the deployment of these aircraft. This three-day event saw the participation of more than 250 aircraft, as well as exhibitions and discussions bringing together some of the biggest names in the aviation sector.
Major General Mohammed Gadih, Inspector of the RMAF, participated in this event, as well as in the Global Air and Space Chiefs’ Conference (GASCC). This conference, held on the eve of RIAT, brought together global leaders in air and space power, along with prominent industrialists and experts from academia.
Participation in these two events provided an opportunity for the RMAF Inspector to engage in discussions with his counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries, as well as with specialists in the aeronautics industry.
This Moroccan participation comes as part of strengthening the Kingdom’s position in the military and aviation field on the international stage, and exchanging expertise with countries participating in this important global event.
The presence of Morocco at RIAT and GASCC underscores the country’s commitment to enhancing its aerospace capabilities and fostering international cooperation in the field of aviation and defense. It also reflects Morocco’s growing role in regional and global security matters, showcasing its modern air force equipment and personnel to an international audience.
Furthermore, this participation provides a platform for Morocco to explore potential collaborations and partnerships in the aerospace sector, which could contribute to the development of its domestic aviation industry and defense capabilities.
