Mohamed Boudriga, president of the Raja Al-Bidadiya football club and Moroccan parliamentarian, was arrested upon his arrival at Hamburg International Airport on Tuesday evening, according to multiple sources.
The reasons for Boudriga’s arrest are conflicting, with some sources suggesting that he was arrested based on a search warrant issued by the investigative judge at the Ain Sebaa Criminal Court regarding financial disputes.
Other sources reported that Boudreika’s arrest may have been due to a “routine search” of his diplomatic passport with which he tried to enter the airport.
Other sources indicated that the arrest could be due to a search warrant issued by Europol, based on a complaint filed by a European country about a false declaration of exporting foreign currency.
No official statement has yet been issued by any official body to confirm the circumstances or details of Boudreika’s arrest.
