The Council of Government, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, will hold a meeting on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Government, the Council will start with the presentation of the initial reports of the Minister of Justice on the Convention for the Protection of Persons from Enforced Disappearance and the fifth periodic report of the Convention against Torture, after which the Minister of Economy and Finance will make a presentation on the planned amendments to the laws related to credit institutions and the Bank of Morocco to face potential credit crises.
The Council will also discuss two draft decrees, the first of which will determine the types and quantities of scholarships for boarding houses and school canteens in public educational institutions and the conditions for benefiting from them, and the second will change and supplement the decree on the establishment of the Grand National Prize for Journalism.
The Council will conclude its work by examining proposals for appointments to senior positions in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
