The Union Coordination in Meknes province has announced the organization of a new regional protest on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11 AM in front of the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
This decision was announced in a statement issued by the Union Coordination on July 11, 2024, in response to recent events that took place during the national stand and march organized by the National Union Coordination in the health sector on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
The statement indicated that this step comes in protest against what it described as the “repression of health personnel” during the previous event, in addition to the arrests that affected many activists.
The Regional Union Coordination also decided to implement National Statement No. 9, affirming the continuation of its struggle in service of health personnel.
It’s worth noting that the statement carried slogans and signatures of several health unions, indicating a unified effort of union actions in the health sector in Meknes to demand the rights of workers in the sector.
These developments come in the context of ongoing protests in Morocco’s health sector, which call for improving working conditions and meeting the demands of workers in the sector.
