The National Professional Football League (NPFL) has revealed the date of the start of the professional league in its first division in the next edition, setting the last week of August for the start of the new sports season after the clubs enjoyed a two-month break.
The league competition is scheduled to kick off on August 24, according to the first round program, which will be drawn in the third week of the same month.
Previously, the league relied on mid-September for the start of the season, but it received directives to impose a new date based on restrictions from continental federations, as FIFA required continental federations to end domestic leagues and continental competitions in May 2025, to pave the way for clubs participating in the next Mondialeto in America, to prepare for this major event.
